ACES’ First Conference of the Year

The Annual General Meeting is a fall gathering between the ACES Executive, commissioners, and its members. This conference is focused on group discussions, allowing attendees to gain insight from each other and provide input into the growth and direction of ACES. During the General Assembly session, member representatives propose resolutions and vote on important motions that will impact engineering students across Atlantic Canada.

 

AGM 2025

The location of AGM 2025 has yet to be decided! The bidding process will occur at ELS 2025 at UPEI.

AGM Chair

Brayden Baird

Brayden Baird (he/him/il) is a second-year student in the civil engineering program at the University of New Brunswick's Saint John campus (UNBSJ)

As an AGM chair, Brayden looks forward to showing students from across the Atlantic provinces the city he's always called home and the campus he proudly represents. He hopes that given the opportunity others will see in it what he does and feel welcomed by everyone. Brayden strives to ensure AGM 2024 is a successful, memorable, and fun conference for all.

Alongside this role, Brayden is the acting president of the UNBSJ Engineering Society. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, kayaking, and going to the gym.


AGM Chair responsibilities include:

  • Organizing a team to plan the Annual General Meeting

  • Communicating between ACES, the hosting university’s Administration and Engineering Society, and sponsors

  • Ensuring that all accommodations, meals, and events are planned, funded, and appropriate
